TaiRx, Inc. hereby declares that Zelnite® is the only selenium injection product with a drug license approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) in Taiwan. It is a prescription medicine used to treat selenium deficiency or to prevent selenium deficiency in patients receiving parenteral nutrition. As of now, no other domestic or foreign brands of selenium injectable have obtained marketing authorization from MOHW in Taiwan.
In accordance with the Pharmaceuticals Act, any manufacturing or importing of drugs should apply for drug license from the TFDA, MOHW to get marketing authorization. Unauthorized manufacturing, importing, or marketing of drugs from unknown sources without approval may be suspected of counterfeit or prohibited drugs. It is hereby reminded that the public should seek medical treatment through proper medical channels, obtain prescriptions from physicians, and therefore, to ensure the safety of medication and the legitimacy of drug sources.
