TaiRx’s CVM-1118 small molecule cancer drug received US FDA approval on April 15th to conduct multi-nation, multi-center Phase II clinical trial in the US and Taiwan. The trial will be conducted in combination with Nexavar® for hepatocellular carcinoma patients. According market analysis from Market Data Forecast, the global market for hepatocellular carcinoma treatment drug has reached 570 million USD in 2016 and is projected to grow at an yearly compound growth rate of 9.1% reaching 880 million USD in 2021.
